Ukrainian unmanned systems forces delivered a powerful strike on a Russian GRU unit in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.

The video of the special operation was shown by the commander of the unmanned systems forces, Robert Brovdi, known as Madyar.

He stated that on the night of December 26, units of the 1st Separate Center of the unmanned systems forces carried out a planned reconnaissance and strike operation in the settlement of Berdyanske, Donetsk region.

According to confirmed operational information, the strike on the command post and deployment locations of the occupiers resulted in over 120 Russian servicemen from the 14th GRU Special Purpose Brigade being killed or wounded.

Specifically, enemy losses amount to at least 51 servicemen killed, 74 wounded, with others considered missing in action.

The destroyed unit is a GRU special forces detachment from the city of Ussuriysk, whose primary task is conducting reconnaissance and special operations in the interests of the Russian military command.

Targets struck by Birds of Madyar

According to RBC-Ukraine, on November 13, it became known that a base of Russian Orion strike drones in Crimea was destroyed by the Birds of Madyar unit.

Earlier, on September 13, 2025, fighters of the unit’s 414th Brigade shot down one of the Orion drones in the air. According to Robert Madyar Brovdi, striking the storage facility on the peninsula was a logical continuation of that operation.

In early November, Madyar also warned of possible blackouts in Russia, hinting at planned strikes by the Defense Forces. He advised Russians to stock up on matches, candles, and flashlights.

On the night of November 2, units of the unmanned systems forces struck five electrical substations deep within Russian territory.
