Units of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck five power substations deep inside the Russian Federation overnight on Sunday, November 2, according to the commander of the Drone Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, on Telegram.

"If we're talking in kilovolts — 500, 500, 500... Over the past night, SBS birds pecked at five substations as far as Gryazi, with a total capacity of 5,066 MVA (megavolt-amperes). One of them was hit jointly with the Special Operations Forces," he wrote.

He added that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will release details about the Drone Systems Forces' strikes on strategic targets in Russia after additional reconnaissance.

It is worth noting that on the night of November 2, unidentified drones once again launched a massive attack on Russia. Residents in several Russian regions reported hearing drones and explosions.

Later, it became known that power substations across Russia had been targeted in the attack.

Russian strikes

As a reminder, on the night of November 1, Russians also reported a massive drone attack. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed it allegedly shot down 98 drones across ten regions, including Moscow. The highest number — 45 — was "downed" over Belgorod region.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the head of the Drone Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, had announced upcoming blackouts in Russia, saying that Ukraine's Defense Forces were preparing corresponding strikes.
