Russia strikes Kyiv and Boryspil airports amid possible US envoys' flight to Ukraine — Zelenskyy

Last night, Russia launched strikes on Ukrainian airports in Kyiv and Boryspil, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"There were also demonstrative Russian strikes on our airports overnight – in Kyiv and Boryspil. Deliberate, for the first time in a while. Clearly, these Russian strikes on the airports are a reaction to the discussions and preparations for the possibility of the U.S. side using an aircraft to travel to Ukraine and land at Kyiv Airport or Boryspil Airport," Zelenskyy states.
The President of Ukraine emphasizes that Russia deployed suicide drones in response to US diplomatic efforts.
In light of recent events, Zelenskyy announced that next week, together with his team, he would adjust operations regarding Russian airspace, which has become dangerous due to the presence of drones and missiles in the sky.

"Of course, there are and will be no threats to diplomacy from our side. Ukraine is interested in bringing peace closer. Russia will be held accountable for what it does. Thank you to everyone who is helping our country and the Ukrainian people!" Zelenskyy concludes.
On September 5, Russia rejected a ceasefire in the air during the visit of Trump's envoys.
On the same day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces issued a statement announcing a ceasefire on the front lines.
