Ukrainian generals met with British and American counterparts. One of the topics of discussion was the progress of our military's counteroffensive, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, on Telegram.

Who participated

According to Zaluzhnyi, he, along with the Chief of the General Staff, General Serhii Shaptala, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, General Mykhailo Zabrodskyi, Commander of the Navy, Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, First Deputy Minister of Defense, General Oleksandr Pavliuk, and the Chief of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, held a meeting with American and British partners in an expanded format.

The Ukrainian generals conducted negotiations with the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO and Commander of US European Command, General Christopher Cavoli, Chief of the Defence Staff of the United Kingdom, Admiral Tony Radakin, and representatives of partner delegations.

What was discussed

The key topic of the negotiations was military cooperation. Zaluzhnyi mentiones that he briefed them on the situation on the front lines and the course of offensive and defensive operations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"I acquainted them with the plans of the Armed Forces in the near future and in the longer term. We discussed possible actions of the enemy," emphasized the Commander-in-Chief.

He also notes that he informed the partners about the key needs of the Ukrainian military - ammunition, weapons, air defense means, electronic warfare equipment, and remote demining devices.

"Another extremely important issue is drones. Countering enemy drones and enhancing our own capabilities. We agreed with our partners to focus efforts in this direction," Zaluzhnyi emphasized.

The general adds that during the meeting, possibilities for strengthening the defense of critical infrastructure objects in Ukraine were discussed.

Counteroffensive of Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukrainian defenders have been conducting a counteroffensive on specific sectors of the front since the beginning of summer. They have already managed to liberate a number of settlements and destroy a significant amount of enemy soldiers and equipment.

In particular, today the Ministry of Defense announced that Ukrainian soldiers successfully liberated the village of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.
