Ukrainian Premier League's priciest star unveiled by Transfermarkt

Who is currently the most expensive footballer in the Ukrainian Premier League? After the Transfermarkt update, the leader of the rating became a Shakhtar player, whose value reached €16 million.
Matvienko topped the ranking after key transfers
The German portal Transfermarkt published the updated values of UPL players following the closure of the summer transfer window.
Shakhtar's central defender Mykola Matvienko has been named the most expensive player in the Ukrainian championship. His value is €16 million, although recently it was higher.
Matvienko rose to first place after Heorhii Sudakov moved to Benfica, Vladyslav Vanat to Girona, and Kevin to Fulham. The departure of several top players from the league significantly changed the ranking balance.
Top 10 most expensive footballers in the UPL
The top five include players from both Shakhtar and Dynamo.
In second place is Shakhtar forward Kauan Elias, whose value increased to €14 million. Third place went to Dynamo midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko (€12 million).
Next in the ranking is another Dynamo player, Mykola Shaparenko (€11 million).
The fifth spot is shared by two Shakhtar footballers, Artem Bondarenko and Marlon Gomes, each valued at €10 million.

Who gained and who lost in value
The biggest increase in value went to Shakhtar's Brazilian newcomer, Luca Meirelles. His valuation rose by €6.5 million.
Pedrinho and Isaque Severino Silva also significantly rose in price, adding €2-6 million each.
Meanwhile, some footballers lost value. In particular, Mykola Matvienko's price dropped by €2 million, Alisson's by €1 million, and Yukhym Konoplia also declined.
Recently, the UPL announced the best of August: Kudrivka midfielder Andrii Storchous was named Player of the Month, while his coach Vasyl Baranov was recognized as the best coach.
