Ukrainian offensive in Kursk region kills at least 60 Russian conscripts

During Ukraine’s offensive in Russia’s Kursk region in the summer and fall of 2024, at least 60 Russian conscripts were killed, according to Important Stories outlet.

According to the outlet, nearly half of the Russian conscripts were killed within the first seven days after Ukraine launched its offensive on August 6, 2024.
According to the outlet's estimates, at least 20 more conscripts died in September.
Conscripts from 34 Russian regions were killed, including:

Five each from Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Krai,

Four from Altai Krai,

Three each from the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, Komi, Buryatia, and Dagestan.
More than 60 other conscripts are considered missing in the Kursk region.
In August, Ukrainian special operations forces destroyed Iskander missile systems belonging to Russia’s 448th missile brigade in the Kursk region.
Recently, troops from one of Ukraine’s units carried out a successful special operation near the Russian border, preventing Russian forces from fortifying new positions.
