Special Operations Forces (SSO) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed Iskander systems of the 448th Missile Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region on August 9, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Units of the Special Operations Forces carried out strikes on hangars used by the 448th Missile Brigade named for S.P. Nepobedimy to covertly store Iskander missile systems on the territory of a former poultry farm in the Kursk region of Russia.

As a result:

  • 5 destroyed 9T250-type transport-loading vehicles;
  • 1 destroyed Iskander launcher;
  • A hit on a Pantsir-S1 air defense system that covered the site;
  • Destroyed warehouses and automotive equipment.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out asymmetric and sensitive actions aimed at stopping Russia's aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff emphasized.

Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory

On the night of September 26, Ukrainian forces once again struck the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. A hit and a fire were confirmed.

Also, on September 24, the Defense Forces struck oil refineries in Bashkortostan and oil pumping stations in Russia’s Volgograd region. Drone production in Valuyki and the Astrakhan gas processing plant were also hit.

And on the night of September 23, Ukrainian forces struck two oil facilities in the Bryansk and Samara regions. Hits were also recorded on two aircraft at the Kacha airfield in occupied Crimea.
