General Staff confirms strikes on oil refinery, pumping stations, and drone production in Russia

The Defense Forces have carried out strikes on an oil refinery in Bashkortostan and oil pumping stations in Russia’s Volgograd region. A drone production facility in Valuyki and the Astrakhan gas processing plant were also hit, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Strike on Bashkortostan
On the night of September 24, the Defense Forces hit the territory of the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery in Bashkortostan. According to preliminary information, the ELOU-AVT-6 crude oil distillation unit was struck. A fire continues at the plant.
"This enterprise processed up to 10 million tons of oil per year and is a key producer of liquid rocket fuel in Russia," the General Staff explained.
Volgograd region under fire
In addition, the Defense Forces struck key facilities in Russia’s Volgograd region that are involved in supplying the occupying army.
"The Kuzmichi-1 oil pumping station, part of the crude oil transportation system to Russia’s southern regions, was engulfed in flames," the report said.
The Zenzevatka oil pumping station, which supplies oil through the Kuibyshev-Tikhoretsk main pipeline, was also hit.
Hits on drone production
In addition to the oil infrastructure, night strikes registered a hit on a drone production facility in the settlement of Valuyki (Belgorod region) — a fire broke out at the enterprise. The results and extent of damage to these facilities are currently being clarified.
Strike on the Astrakhan gas processing plant
The General Staff also confirmed the outcome of an earlier operation: on September 22, the Defense Forces’ long-range weapons struck the Astrakhan gas processing plant, causing damage to production areas and the suspension of part of the technological cycle.
This GPP is one of the largest gas-chemical complexes in the world and a major producer of sulphur for Russia’s industrial needs.
The ministry emphasizes that these measures are part of comprehensive steps to reduce the offensive potential of the Russian army and to complicate fuel and ammunition supplies to the occupiers, in order to force them to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.
Attacks on Russia
Earlier today, it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine's Special Operations Center A drones reached Bashkortostan for the second time in the past seven days and struck Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat, one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical plants in Russia.
Previously, Ukrainian drones successfully attacked Gazprom’s petrochemical complex in Salavat on September 18, causing a fire at the plant.
Even earlier, the Defense Forces struck a plant producing warheads for Shahed drones. The facility is located in Sergiyev Posad, Moscow region, Russia.
