For the second time in the last seven days, drones belonging to the Special Operations Center A of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) flew to Bashkortostan and struck Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat, one of the largest oil refineries and petrochemical plants in Russia, according to sources.

The company produces 150 types of products, including automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, and polyethylene. The distance from Ukraine to the target is about 1,400 kilometers.

Several drone strikes caused a fire at the plant. Eyewitnesses report that a huge column of black smoke is rising into the air. Local authorities said they are currently assessing the extent of the damage.

“The SBU continues to carry out targeted strikes on facilities that finance the war against our state. The hit season at Russian oil refineries is in full swing. The country-gas station must finally realize that aggression against Ukraine is costing it dearly,” said an informed source in the SBU.

Today, we already wrote that the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plant in Bashkiria was again attacked by drones. The plant is located about 1,400 km from the border with Ukraine.

Prior to that, Ukrainian drones successfully attacked Gazprom's petrochemical complex in Salavat on September 18. A fire broke out at the plant.
