Drones strike huge Gazprom petrochemical plant in Bashkiria again

The enterprise Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat in Bashkiria was once again attacked by drones. The plant is located about 1,400 km from the border with Ukraine, the Telegram channel Astra reports.
According to the channel, local residents reported loud noises.
Strikes on plant in Bashkiria
On September 18, Ukrainian drones successfully attacked Gazprom's petrochemical complex in the city of Salavat, causing a fire at the plant. The facility's security attempted to open fire on the drones.
According to RBC-Ukraine's sources, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) hit the ELOU-AVT-4 installation, the heart of the plant. This unit first removes water and salts from the oil and then converts it into gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is a Russian petrochemical company that owns one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical production complexes in Russia, located in the city of Salavat (Republic of Bashkortostan).
The enterprise is engaged in the full cycle of hydrocarbon processing and produces 150 types of products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, and polyethylene.
Strikes on oil refineries
In the summer of 2025, Ukraine resumed strikes on Russian oil refineries and pipelines. This happened after Russia violated in June an undeclared moratorium on mutual strikes against energy facilities.
Ukraine has already affected about 20% of Russia's oil refining capacity, which has led to a fuel crisis in several regions of the aggressor country.
