Ukrainian military says that while performing a combat mission, the Ukrainian group came under heavy Russian artillery fire. Under fire, the defenders retreated to a safe zone in an organized manner, where they found a group of Russian army soldiers trying to set up a new position.

Thanks to the quick and coordinated actions of the Ukrainian Special Forces Operations, Russia was unable to gain a foothold in the area - their plans were thwarted.

Ukrainian Special Forces operations

Ukrainian Special Forces regularly perform combat missions on the front line, including behind enemy lines.

For example, a group of Ukrainian Special Forces fighters recently entered from the rear and conducted a lightning raid on a Russian position near the border with Russia.

Earlier, Ukrainian soldiers of the 6th Separate Regiment of the Ranger Special Forces conducted a successful raid on Russian positions in one of the combat areas. During the operation, they captured prisoners, thereby replenishing the exchange fund.

Russia's losses in war against Ukraine

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost about 1,0043,160 military personnel.

In particular, over the past 24 hours on July 20-21, the Russian army lost another 1,170 troops.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 2 Russian tanks, 7 armored vehicles, 54 artillery systems, 1 multiple rocket launcher system, 1 air defense system, 199 operational and tactical drones, 132 vehicles, 2 special vehicles, and one heavy flamethrower system.
