Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 21: +1,170 troops and 54 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, from July 20 to July 21, the Russian army lost another 1,170 soldiers at the front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces were also destroyed. 54 Russian artillery systems and 199 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to July 21, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 1,043,160 (+1,170) Russian troops were eliminated

- anti-aircraft systems - 30,637 (+54)
- MLRS - 1,444 (+1)

- warcruise missiles - 3,515

- submarines - 1
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 55,859 (+132)
- special equipment - 3,934 (+2).
Situation at front
As of the evening of July 20, 122 combat engagements were registered at the front. Most of the fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector.
"Russia attacked positions 36 times in the areas of Poltavka, Vdalne, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zviryache, Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Oleksiyivka, and in the direction of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian defenders repelled 34 attacks," Ukraine's General Staff said.
