Ukrainian military continues to advance near Bakhmut, achieves success in other areas: Defense of Ukraine states

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operations in the vicinity of Bakhmut, as well as in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. They have achieved success on several fronts, according to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar.
"The situation in the east is complex, but the enemy is unable to achieve their objectives," the report states.
Frontline situation
Defense forces are effectively holding back the advance of Russian troops in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine stated that the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions are impregnable to the enemy.
"No matter how hard they try to advance there, they are not making any progress. However, stopping them there is not easy. Our brave soldiers defend Ukraine there every day in tough battles and constant shelling," Maliar added.

In the Bakhmut direction, on the southern flank, our forces continue their offensive actions.

"The enemy forces unsuccessfully attempted to regain the lost position on the outskirts of Klishchiivka. Intense battles are ongoing," Maliar explained.
She also reported that offensive operations are continuing in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.

Despite extremely challenging combat conditions and enemy resistance, Ukrainian forces have achieved partial success in the direction of Urozhaine, to the south and southeast of Staromaiorske.
Counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our troops are currently continuing their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.
As reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), within the framework of the advance in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have started to make progress near Orikhiv. Specifically, the soldiers are conducting counteroffensive operations to the north and south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
