Ukrainian Foreign Minister meets with NATO Military Committee Chairman: Topics discussed
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, held a meeting with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer. In particular, they discussed expectations from the NATO Washington Summit, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
During the meeting, Kuleba notes the important role of NATO member states in providing comprehensive assistance to Ukraine to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. He also emphasizes the importance of continuing to support Ukraine, in particular, providing Kyiv with critical types of weapons and military equipment.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects of ensuring combat training of Ukrainian servicemen and close cooperation between the defense industries of Ukraine and its allies.
In addition, Kuleba calls for an increase in NATO's support for Ukraine, primarily with lethal weapons, a return to the practice of training in Ukraine, and the deployment of repair bases in Ukraine.
Bauer's visit to Ukraine
On March 21, the head of NATO's military committee, Rob Bauer, arrived in Ukraine. This is his first visit since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
During the visit, he already had time to speak at the Kyiv Security Forum. In particular, Bauer emphasized that the flag of Sweden would not be the only blue and yellow at the headquarters of the Alliance.
