Ukrainian border guards destroyed Russian equipment worth $28 million overnight in the Huliaipole direction, with a rare Zoopark radar system among the targets, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.
Night operation details
According to the border guards, on the night of April 4–5 in the Zaporizhzhia direction, pilots from the Phoenix unit located and struck three multiple launch rocket systems, destroying two Grads and one Uragan.
In addition to the rocket artillery, the Border Guard aces eliminated the high-value Zoopark radar system. The total value of the destroyed equipment is estimated at around $28 million.
"And this is on top of the routine targets that border guard units destroy around the clock," the agency emphasized.
Why this target stands out
The destruction of the Zoopark radar system is a major success for Ukrainian defense forces, as this equipment is extremely rare among Russians.

Border guards say that Zoopark radar is an extremely rare target for Ukraine's forces. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, up to 15 units of this equipment have been destroyed.
Rear strikes, enemy losses
Earlier reports noted that on the night of April 5, Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out strikes on strategic Russian targets. Among them, a major fire broke out at the Lukoil refinery in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, which supplies fuel to the Moscow area.
Last month, Ukrainian troops also demonstrated record effectiveness. The Ministry of Defense reported that the number of enemy targets hit in March exceeded 151,000 units.
In addition, Ukrainian forces continue to destroy Russia's advanced equipment. Recently, the Magyar's Birds unit destroyed a secret Russian satellite communication station Spirit, which the enemy had been using as an alternative to Starlink, marking its first known elimination.
