Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck enemy radar systems in temporarily occupied Crimea and Russia’s Belgorod region. In addition, a Tor-M1 air defense system was hit in the Luhansk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Reducing Russia’s air defense capabilities

“As part of efforts to degrade the Russian aggressor’s air defense capabilities, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to carry out fire strikes against enemy air defense systems,” the statement said.

In particular, a Nebo-U radar station was hit in Feodosia, in temporarily occupied Crimea.

Additionally, on April 13, a radar station of an airspace monitoring system was struck near Mykolaivka, as well as a Kasta-2E radar near the settlement of Lubyanoe-Pervoye. Both facilities are located in Russia’s Belgorod region.

It was also confirmed that on April 13, a Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile system was hit near the settlement of Lozove in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

“The extent of the damage is being уточнений. Ukraine’s Defense Forces will continue taking measures to stop Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff emphasized.

Other successful strikes

As a reminder, operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces together with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant, halting production there.

In addition, at the end of March, Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk direction disrupted the launch of Gerbera drones and destroyed a Tor air defense system.

It is worth noting that last month, Ukrainian defenders demonstrated record efficiency — the Ministry of Defense reported more than 151,000 enemy targets hit in March.

RBC-Ukraine previously reported that Ukrainian drones have demonstrated the ability to strike targets at distances of over 1,000 kilometers. In particular, two Russian drilling platforms in the Caspian Sea were hit.
