SBU forces, together with the 1st Separate Center of the Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems, struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant for the second time in a month, according to the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The facility is one of the occupiers' key industrial sites in Luhansk region, used to support their military production.

The plant's products are supplied to Russia's Uralvagonzavod, where military equipment for the Russian army is manufactured, including T-90M Proryv tanks and Msta-S howitzers.

After identifying the location of the plant’s critical production capacities, FP-2 drones from Fire Point carried out targeted strikes.

As a result of the strikes, blast furnaces, key production workshops, distillation columns, gas pipelines, and power substations that support the plant's operations were damaged. Due to the destruction, the metallurgical plant has been forced to halt operations.

"The SBU, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will continue systematically reducing the enemy’s capabilities in the military-industrial sector!" the Security Service of Ukraine emphasized.

Successful SBU operations

Previously, long-range drones from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center struck the Ust-Luga oil terminal in Leningrad region, Russia, for the second time in a week.

Earlier, SBU drones carried out a series of strikes on Russian occupiers' military targets in Crimea, hitting an aircraft repair plant and air defense positions near Dzhankoy.

Additionally, the SBU and the Armed Forces disabled the Russian frigate Admiral Essen, which serves as a platform for Kalibr missiles.
