Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out new strikes on Russian territory, hitting the Afipsky oil refinery and infrastructure at the Kavkaz port, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

“As part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, during the night of March 14 units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck military and logistics infrastructure facilities of the enemy on Russian territory,” the statement said.

In particular, the Afipsky oil refinery in the settlement of Afipsky (Krasnodar region, Russia) was hit.

The plant has a processing capacity of 6.25 million tons per year, which accounts for about 2.1% of Russia’s total oil refining capacity.

A hit on the facility was recorded, followed by a fire on the plant’s territory.

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck infrastructure at the Kavkaz port in the Chushka area (Krasnodar region, Russia). Damage to the port’s infrastructure has been reported.

According to the General Staff, both facilities are involved in supplying the Russian army.

The scale of the damage is currently being clarified.

Strikes on Russian facilities

Earlier, during the night of March 14, Ukraine’s Defense Forces also struck the Maykop airfield in Russia’s Republic of Adygea, hitting infrastructure facilities.

On March 10, Ukrainian forces carried out successful Storm Shadow missile strikes on the Kremniy El microelectronics plant in Bryansk, Russia.

On March 11 and during the night of March 12, the Defense Forces launched powerful strikes on the military facilities of the Russian occupying forces.

Earlier, Ukrainian defenders also conducted a series of successful strikes on Russian military targets, hitting a radar station of the S-300 air defense system and a Buk-M3 missile system.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed with ATACMS and SCALP missiles a base used for storing, preparing, and launching Shahed-type drones near Donetsk Airport.
