Russian attack was detected while still approaching

According to the Ukrainian military, aerial reconnaissance by the Spartan unit detected the movement of Russian mobile groups promptly, after which Ukrainian units struck Russian troops and thwarted their offensive actions.

As a result of two days of fighting, the Russians suffered significant losses - a company of assault troops and military equipment were destroyed.

Company

A company is a military unit, usually consisting of approximately 80-120 soldiers, depending on the structure of the army and the type of unit. The loss of a company is considered a significant tactical blow to the offensive potential of a unit, especially during assault operations.

Frontline

According to the 7th Corps of the Airborne Forces, Russian troops carried out a mechanized assault on the village of Hryshyne in the Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled the attack, destroying some of the enemy's armored vehicles and manpower, although fighting in the area continued.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi also reported that Russia was pulling up reserves to the Pokrovsk area and trying to break through with small assault groups.

Near Pokrovsk, Ukrainian soldiers were rescued from Russian captivity thanks to aerial reconnaissance and strike drones. In addition, the crew of a Leopard 2 tank of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Anna of Kyiv, destroyed the remnants of the Russian landing force on the outskirts of Hryshyne.

Also recently, in the Pokrovsk area, Ukrainian troops destroyed a self-propelled Russian artillery unit, which disrupted preparations for another assault on Hryshyne.
