Increased enemy activity near Pokrovsk

The 7th Corps has recorded a rise in Russian activity in the Hryshyne sector, located northwest of Pokrovsk.

The occupiers are attempting to increase pressure by changing their tactics on this section of the front.

Mechanized assault with armored vehicles

Russian forces tried a mechanized assault on the settlement, using three armored vehicles. The enemy aimed to accelerate their advance after the failure of their covert infiltration tactics.

Despite a partial breakthrough, the enemy was unable to exploit the attack successfully.

Actions of Ukrainian units

The 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna Kyivska, in coordination with adjacent units, detected the enemy in time and engaged in combat. Ukrainian forces targeted occupiers both on the approaches to the village and directly on its outskirts.

Enemy losses and current situation

As a result of the battle, Ukrainian defense forces destroyed two enemy armored vehicles and eliminated more than 10 Russian soldiers.

One of the enemy's armored vehicles was abandoned in panic on the battlefield. Searches and clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate remaining enemy infantry, including within Hryshyne itself.

Village of Hryshyne

Hryshyne is located north of the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Russian forces previously attempted to attack the settlement on December 10.

At that time, alongside a mechanized assault on the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk, Russian units tried to advance toward Hryshyne using a column of ATVs. Ukrainian defense forces repelled the attack.

Earlier reports also noted that a Russian strike in Hryshyne, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region, set the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God on fire.

The fire occurred after strikes on the night of October 27. No information about casualties has been reported.
