Russian forces have mobilized the maximum amount of resources to carry out their plans on the frontline. However, Ukrainian forces retain the capability to defeat enemy assault groups, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated after a conversation with US Air Force General Alexus Grynkewich, Supreme Allied Commander of NATO's Joint Armed Forces in Europe.

"We thoroughly examined the situation on the frontline. The enemy has mobilized the maximum amount of human and material resources to carry out its aggressive plans," Syrskyi said.

According to him, Ukraine's allies fully understand the scale and complexity of the tasks facing the Ukrainian army.

"At the same time, the Ukrainian army retains conventional capability to defeat enemy assault formations," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

Situation on the frontline

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 174 combat engagements took place on the frontlines over the past 24 hours, on July 24. The heaviest fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions. Over the course of the day, enemy forces lost approximately 980 personnel during assault attempts.

Meanwhile, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi recently reported that an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group (SRG) attempted to infiltrate Pokrovsk last week. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy assault.

The Donetsk Operational-Tactical Group stated that the Defense Forces are actively countering enemy SRGs in Pokrovsk. According to the military, these diversionary groups are being destroyed before they can approach the city.

Ukrainian troops also confirmed that fighting is ongoing on the outskirts of Pokrovsk and near the village of Shevchenko.

The OSINT analytical project DeepState reported that over the weekend, enemy SRGs breached Pokrovsk — a city currently considered one of Russia's key targets on the frontline. The enemy's goal is to gain a foothold, wait for reinforcements, and seize control of Zakhysnykiv Ukrainy Street.

Military sources and observers say that Russian pressure on the city is intensifying significantly.
