Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their operation to clear Pokrovsk of Russians. Ukrainian units stopped Russia's advance in the north of the city and prevented the cutting off of an important road connecting Pokrovsk with Rodynske, according to the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Pokrovsk

"Over the past few days, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have created opportunities to replenish troops in our area of responsibility with additional personnel and equipment," the statement says.

According to the paratroopers, active clearing of the northern part of Pokrovsk is currently underway. Thanks to the coordinated actions of Ukrainian units, it was possible to stop the expansion of Russia's presence in this area and prevent the cutting off of the road connecting Pokrovsk and Rodynske.

On November 2, Ukrainian troops eliminated 19 Russian soldiers as part of the operation. The Ukrainian Defense Forces also continue to bring in more assault units and special forces.

Myrnohrad

According to the Ukrainian military, the situation in Myrnohrad remains tense but under control.

"Russia has been spotted on the approaches to the southeastern outskirts of Myrnohrad. The total number of Russian personnel is insignificant - about 10. Work is ongoing to eliminate them. The city's defenses have already been reinforced with additional forces," the command reported.

Ukrainian Airborne Forces ensure that they have clear plans to counter Russian troops and maintain close coordination between units to stabilize the situation in both directions.

Situation in Pokrovsk

On October 29, Russia's Vladimir Putin claimed that Ukrainian troops had been surrounded in Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region and Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region.

After that, he cynically suggested stopping hostilities in these areas so that, in his words, Western journalists and Ukrainian media could verify the truthfulness of such statements.

The Joint Forces Operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted these statements, emphasizing that the information about the encirclement was not true.

On October 30, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi also denied the Kremlin's claims about the alleged blockade of Ukrainian forces in Pokrovsk and Kupiansk.

On October 31, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the situation in Pokrovsk is difficult, but that Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are not surrounded.

Today's morning report from the Ukraine's General Staff states that the Defense Forces repelled 68 Russian assaults in the Pokrovsk direction over the past 24 hours.
