Ukrainian forces debunk Russian claim of rapid advance toward Kostiantynivka

Russian forces are spreading another piece of disinformation online, claiming a rapid advance toward Kostiantynivka, which is false, according to the East Grouping of Forces.
Lately, there has been an increase in online reports about rapid advances by Russian forces or their capture of settlements in the Donetsk region.
"Yes, certain online media are spreading false information about enemy movements toward Kostiantynivka. This is another attempt by the enemy to substitute the wish for the reality and create the illusion of success," Ukrainian forces explained.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out combat missions in the area.
Ukrainians are urged not to panic, to verify information, and to trust only official sources.
Russian forces recently hit Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region with guided aerial bombs, damaging a church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). Two civilians were killed, and four others sustained injuries of varying severity.
Earlier, parts of the Donetsk region were left without power due to Russia's attacks. Cities affected included Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, and some areas of Kramatorsk.
Russian President Vladimir Putin falsely claimed that the Russian army had taken control of two-thirds of Kupiansk and entered several other major cities, including Kostiantynivka.
