Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a Russian assault near Novopavlivka in Dnipropetrovsk region, killing at least 15 Russian soldiers and capturing several others. Russian military equipment was also destroyed, the 59th Separate Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems named after Yakiv Handziuk reports.

"The breakthrough in Novopavlivka, or the 'Novopavlivka landing.' The attempt was made — the situation has been contained," the brigade said.

According to the Ukrainian military, 15 Russian soldiers were killed and two were captured. All enemy units were neutralized. The brigade also released a video showing the destroyed enemy personnel and equipment.

"Speak responsibly, do not spread rumors. Do not fall for chatter. Listen to competent sources," the brigade added.

On November 16, Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian attack near Novopavlivka. Russian troops attempted a breakthrough using armored vehicles. Media reports described a "threatening situation" near the settlement.

Later, it was reported that Russian forces attempted to storm the area using armored vehicles within the 9th Army Corps' zone of responsibility, taking advantage of the fog. The assault failed. Russian troops were routed, and those who could not retreat and survived were captured.

As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on November 16, Ukrainian forces reported 151 combat engagements. The Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest, with nearly all Russian attacks repelled.

From November 15 to 16, Russian forces lost another 860 soldiers on the front. Ukrainian troops also destroyed three tanks, 26 artillery systems, and 68 vehicles.
