Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian attack in the area of Novopavlivka in Dnipropetrovsk region. The invaders attempted a breakthrough using armored vehicles, according to the Facebook page of the 9th Army Corps.
According to the report, in the sector defended by the 9th Army Corps, the enemy attempted an assault using armored vehicles near the settlement of Novopavlivka, taking advantage of difficult weather conditions and limited visibility.
Units of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Valerii Hudz and the 46th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in coordination with adjacent units, promptly took the necessary measures to destroy the enemy.
The assault resulted in significant losses for the invaders in both personnel and equipment. Clearance operations are ongoing, and the situation remains under the control of the Defense Forces.
Video footage shows enemy armored vehicles being destroyed during the attempted assault.
Previously, we reported that Ukrainian forces destroyed the road connecting Selidove and Pokrovsk. This deprived the Russians of the ability to use the route to move light vehicles into the city.
Additionally, the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released footage of their units operating on the Lyman direction. Operators of the 8th SOF Regiment cleared Russian positions and captured equipment.
