Ukraine's Special Operations Forces released footage showing their troops in action in the Lyman direction. Operators from the 8th Special Operations Forces (SSO) Regiment cleared Russian positions and captured trophies, according to the SSO press service.
The statement said that the operators conducted operations in the Lyman direction in the Donetsk region. As a result, one Russian position was cleared, and three Russian soldiers present there were neutralized.
Thanks to the operation, important trophies were captured, including radios located at the position. Personal documents of the neutralized Russians were also seized.
"No random actions—only coordinated work, cold concentration, and a clear result," the SSO added.
Battle for Pokrovsk
Currently, the most challenging situation is near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. Russian forces, taking advantage of weather conditions, launched a massive assault along the Selidove-Pokrovsk highway, achieving partial success. Preliminary estimates suggest that over 300 Russian personnel are currently in the city.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the defense of Pokrovsk continues. He emphasized that there is no loss of control over the city or operational encirclement of Ukrainian forces by Russia.
SSO units are also involved in defending Pokrovsk. Drones from the 144th SSO Center are targeting Russian soldiers, destroying equipment, fortifications, and supply depots.
