Ukrainian forces destroyed the road connecting Selidove and Pokrovsk, cutting off Russians' ability to infiltrate the city with light vehicles, according to Facebook 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

The Defense Forces continue to sever enemy logistics routes on the approaches to Pokrovsk.

"As a result of an airstrike, the road connecting Selidove and Pokrovsk was destroyed. This has deprived the Russians of the ability to use this route to move into Pokrovsk with light vehicles," the Air Assault Forces said.

On other sections, Ukrainian troops are installing additional engineering obstacles. Meanwhile, the occupying forces’ command is sending suicide squads to clear these barriers.

Fighting for Pokrovsk

The Pokrovsk direction has long been the hottest spot on the front, with Russian occupiers trying to capture the city itself.

The invaders took advantage of poor weather, including dense fog, and entered Pokrovsk. Currently, more than 300 occupiers are in the city.

Recently, Russian forces launched a massive assault on Pokrovsk along the Selidove-Pokrovsk route using light vehicles, achieving partial success.

According to Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold Pokrovsk. There is currently no Russian control over the city or operational encirclement of Ukrainian forces.

He added that the Russians are trying to break into apartment blocks in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian military command has already prepared measures to counter these enemy plans.
