The Moscow oil refinery has completely shut down after strikes by Ukrainian drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Military officials reported the consequences of massive strikes on a number of enemy targets on June 18 and during the night of June 19.
"It has been confirmed that on June 18, 2026, a complex oil refining unit, three RVS-10000 tanks, and one RVS-30000 tank at the Moscow oil refinery were hit. The plant has suspended oil processing for an indefinite period," the statement said.
In addition, drones struck an area where enemy weapons and military equipment were concentrated near Sevierodonetsk in the Luhansk region, as well as a fuel and lubricants depot in Mariupol.
Ukrainian drones also struck railway bridges in the areas of Rozdolne and Vladyslavivka in temporarily occupied Crimea. The enemy used them to support military transportation and supply the occupation army.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue systematic strikes until the complete cessation of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine," the General Staff emphasized.
On the night of June 18 and in the morning, drones attacked Moscow. One of the main targets was the Moscow oil refinery in the Kapotnya district.
Numerous videos of the aftermath of the strike have appeared online. The released footage shows a hit on one of the refinery’s tanks, as well as a large-scale fire that broke out on the facility’s territory.
Later, Reuters reported that as a result of the drone attack on the Moscow oil refinery, technological units were damaged. In addition, several ignition points occurred on the plant’s premises.
