Troops from the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade successfully repelled an enemy assault in the Lyman direction, showcasing the engagement through footage, according to the Telegram channel of Artem Lysohor, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
According to military sources, Russian Forces are deploying a significant number of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and other armored vehicles during the assault.
However, Ukrainian military forces utilized all available means to halt this onslaught and successfully repelled the Russian assault.
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff, Ukraine experienced 68 combat incidents on the frontlines over the day. Defense Forces successfully repelled Russian attacks near the village of Terniv in the Donetsk region and thwarted enemy assaults in the Kherson direction.
As of Tuesday, January 23, Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine reached 960 occupiers, with the overall casualty count for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion approaching nearly 378,000 servicemen. Furthermore, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 22 tanks, 51 artillery systems, and 59 combat armored vehicles.
