Ukrainian Armed Forces advancing forward near Robotyne, sometimes by 300-400 meters per day
The offensive operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region continues. Some days, the Ukrainian forces advance by 300-400 meters, says the Spokesperson for the Unified Press Center of the Defense Forces in the Tavriysk direction, Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun.
He mentioned that progress is being made, but due to the dense enemy defense, it is quite challenging. The Ukrainian forces are moving "from forest belt to forest belt."
"Sometimes, they advance by 50-100 meters in a day. Sometimes 300-400 meters, but our guys are moving forward. It's tough. The enemy doesn't give in easily, although they suffer heavy losses, especially in equipment," Shtupun explained.
Counteroffensive by Ukrainian Armed Forces
Since the summer of this year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have intensified their efforts to de-occupy territories. Currently, Robotyne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and several other settlements have been liberated.
The commander of the "Tavria" group of troops, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, stated that Ukrainian soldiers have broken through the Russian defense near Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have established fire control over the Bakhmut-Horlivka highway. This will provide more opportunities to destroy the occupiers and their supply lines.
