Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico at the second intergovernmental consultations. The talks focused on infrastructure projects, energy security, the Ukrainian peace plan, and Ukraine's EU integration.
This intergovernmental meeting between Slovakia and Ukraine took place almost six months after the previous one in April, which took place in the Slovak town of Michalovce. Yesterday, Slovak officials visited the Verkhovyna Resort hotel complex, about 20 kilometers from Uzhhorod.
Zelenskyy announces unveiling of victory plan for all Ukrainians
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's victory plan must be clear to everyone in the country. It will soon be presented to Ukrainians, according to the president's address.
"It is important that the overall perspective is clear to everyone in our country. We are asking our partners to define how they envision the end of this war, Ukraine's place in the global security architecture, and the joint steps that can set this war on the path to conclusion," the president explained.
Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv: Consequences revealed
Yesterday, on October 7, Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv. Preliminary, all missiles were destroyed, according to the Kyiv City State Administration.
Previously, Russian MiG-31K carriers launched Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.
According to preliminary data, all air targets were successfully destroyed. As a result of the missile attack, debris fell in two districts of the capital - in Holosiivskyi and Solomianskyi districts. Currently, there are no damages or casualties in the city.

German FM doesn't rule out Ukraine using German weapons for strikes deep in Russia
In the future, Ukraine will be able to use weapons from German stockpiles for self-defense, including possible attacks on military facilities in Russia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock says.
“Ukraine's right to self-defense does not mean that a missile must first cross the border or hit a city like Kharkiv before it is allowed to defend itself. Even the best air defense cannot always prevent this,” the minister says.
Slovak Prime Minister suggests missile strike on Brussels
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico criticized calls by Members of the European Parliament to allow Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range weapons. He also suggested launching a missile strike at Brussels so they could "understand what it's really about", according to Hlavný Denník.
"I'm sorry that a perverse trend has emerged in Europe where, instead of stopping the sound of cannons, we hear loud applause, enthusiastic cheers, and often significant material decisions that only encourage the war to continue," Fico said during a speech on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Carpathian-Dukla operation.
