Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to hold the line within the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad urban area, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, as of November 5, there is no encirclement of Ukrainian units. The military is taking measures to block enemy forces attempting to break into and secure positions inside Pokrovsk.

In the vicinity of the city, search-and-strike operations are ongoing, involving assault units of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment, as well as special forces from the Forces on Unmanned Systems, Special Operations Forces, Military Police, National Guard, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR).
Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 26 occupiers and wounded 64 more. In total, 58 enemy shelters were destroyed or damaged.

Since the beginning of the week, Russian losses in the Pokrovsk direction have reached 249 personnel (including 159 irrecoverable losses), as well as seven UAV command posts, one tank, one armored fighting vehicle, and 26 vehicles and motorcycles. At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue to fortify defensive flanks and secure logistics routes.

As part of the Dobropillia operation, Ukrainian assault units advanced 100 to 700 meters over the past day. In total, 188.9 km² of territory have been liberated, and another 249.9 km² cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

Situation on the front

Russian troops continue to concentrate significant forces in the Pokrovsk direction, attempting to encircle the city and surrounding settlements.

Fighting is already taking place within Pokrovsk itself, where, according to RBC-Ukraine sources, around a thousand Russian soldiers may have infiltrated.

On November 3, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine's Air Assault Forces reported that defenders had halted the Russian advance north of Pokrovsk, preventing the enemy from cutting a key supply route.

Currently, units of HUR are conducting successful operations inside the city, aiming to expand fire control over Russian logistical lines.

Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the front line, including the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia sectors.
