Ukraine to share drone manufacturing technology with US — WSJ

Ukraine is preparing to sign an agreement with the US on the transfer of technology for the creation of drones that have been tested in combat conditions, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Citing sources among officials from both countries, Ukraine will receive royalties or other forms of compensation in exchange.
Ukraine's advantage in the agreement is its extensive experience in drone production. While American companies produce complex drones, Ukrainians specialize in the mass production of inexpensive unmanned aerial vehicles that have proven their effectiveness.
A group of Ukrainian experts led by Deputy Minister of Defense Serhii Boiev has already begun multi-day negotiations in Washington with representatives of the Pentagon and the State Department. According to a US government representative, the completion of a detailed agreement, which could be worth billions of dollars, will likely take months.
Export of Ukrainian weapons
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is preparing agreements on the controlled export of weapons. According to him, the export of certain types of weapons that are in surplus could provide Ukraine with additional funds for the production of scarce systems.
A Ukrainian delegation from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Defense, visited the US. The parties discussed the planned purchase of Ukrainian drones and security cooperation.
During the meetings, Ukraine presented its experience in the field of air, sea, and ground unmanned systems, which aroused great interest among its allies.
