The Swedish government has instructed its Armed Forces to allocate 550 million SEK (over $27 million USD) for NATO's support to Ukraine, according to the official website of the Swedish government.

The funds are part of Sweden's 19th support package for Ukraine.

According to current information, 300 million SEK will be contributed to the NATO Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) Trust Fund to help Ukraine.

The fund is used to procure non-lethal military aid requested by Ukraine, including:

  • medical equipment,

  • vehicles,

  • fuel,

  • field rations.

An additional 250 million SEK will be allocated to NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) Trust Fund for the rapid procurement of goods and services requested by Ukraine, such as spare parts.

"The scope of Sweden's military support is a strength. The contributions to these NATO funds will enhance Ukraine’s endurance and logistical capabilities," said Sweden's Defense Minister Pål Jonson.

Help for Ukraine

Yesterday, June 4, the 28th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group took place at NATO headquarters.

This meeting turned out to be the most significant in terms of military support for Ukraine from its allies since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
