Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a Russian S-400 Triumph air defense system in the Kaluga region of Russia.

On the night of September 5, a group of their fighters conducted special reconnaissance during which they discovered an S-400 Triumph air defense missile system in the Kaluga region.

After receiving visual confirmation of the object, the operators transmitted data for fire damage.

Three Russian MiG-31 jets violate Estonia’s airspace

Russian MiG-31 fighter jets violated Estonia’s airspace on Friday, September 19. They remained there for 12 minutes, according to Politico and the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sources from Politico reported that three Russian MiG-31 jets, which can carry hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, were heading toward Tallinn. Italian F-35s were scrambled to intercept them.

Poland and Sweden launch first-ever joint military drills

The first-ever Polish-Swedish military exercises, SNEX Gotland Sentry, have begun in the Baltic Sea, according to Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Emergency rescue operations have been completed in Zaporizhzhia following a massive Russian air strike. The death toll has risen to three—two women and one man, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Two young men are also known to have been injured.

"Three people were killed: two women aged 40 and 79, and a 77-year-old man. In addition, two young men aged 20 and 17 suffered injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized," the regional emergency services said.

UK ready to shoot down Russian planes over NATO countries, but there’s catch

The United Kingdom will shoot down Russian aircraft over NATO member countries if necessary, stated UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.

"If we need to confront planes operating in NATO airspace without permission, we will," she said.

Cooper described Russia’s recent actions as "dangerous and reckless," adding that they could undermine the territorial integrity of sovereign states and European security. She also warned that Russia’s deliberate actions could lead to direct armed confrontation between NATO and Russia.
