On the night of July 9, Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out new strikes on facilities supporting Russia's oil industry and the Kremlin's war machine, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a statement by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The head of state confirmed that the Security Service of Ukraine successfully struck two oil depots at once — in Stavropol and Tver.

According to Zelenskyy, this time Ukrainian drones covered a distance of about 500 kilometers from the front line.

The SBU specified that the targets were:

  • The Krasnaya Zarya oil depot in the Tver region;

  • The Stavropolskaya oil depot in the Stavropol Territory.

The security service said that large fires broke out at both enemy facilities after the strikes.

"Both oil depots receive, store, and distribute gasoline and diesel fuel," the SBU stressed.

In addition, Ukraine's Defense Forces attacked a reserve fuel storage facility used for fuel accumulation and storage. It is located about 800 kilometers from Ukraine.

"An oil pumping station in Russia's Ufa, nearly 1,500 kilometers from our border, also came under sanctions," Zelenskyy stressed.

The Russians were also unable to protect an oil terminal in the Rostov region from a Ukrainian strike. It is located 200 kilometers from the front line.

"I thank all our warriors who make results like these possible every single day. We offered Russia a way to end this war long ago, and every day it chooses to prolong it should bring the reality of war back to where it began – to Russia," Zelenskyy concluded.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia intends to jam Starlink in an attempt to disrupt Ukraine's attacks.

Over the past week, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 50 energy facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine.
