Ukraine shapes its ceasefire terms, ready to review Russian proposals – Ukrainian FM

Ukraine is shaping its ceasefire terms and preparing to consider Russian proposals, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Ukraine is currently expecting concrete proposals from Russia regarding the parameters of an unconditional ceasefire and is preparing its response.
He also added that Russia's strategy may aim to sideline the United States from the negotiation process, but Ukraine insists on their involvement and underscores that Europe must also be present at the negotiating table.
Sybiha noted that Ukraine insists on a broad international format for potential talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia is preparing a draft document for Ukraine outlining its peace demands. According to him, the draft will be delivered after a 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner exchange is completed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently expressed readiness for another round of direct negotiations with Russia.
Additionally, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized today that Ukraine remains committed to the idea of a ceasefire and hopes for continued support from the United States and President Donald Trump in achieving lasting peace.
Moreover, Mykhailo Samus, Director of the New Geopolitics Research Network, recently remarked to RBC-Ukraine that trilateral negotiations between the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, and the United States could turn into a true psychological battle.
