Ukraine wants Europe and Trump involved in Zelenskyy-Putin talks, says Ukrainian FM

Ukraine insists on a broad international format for possible negotiations between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
"To continue the meeting that took place in Türkiye, there can be no preconditions, because a clear agreement was reached there — if we set aside all those pseudo-historical lectures voiced by the Russian delegation. Namely, the first exchange of prisoners of war, and today it has begun," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, Ukraine is awaiting a proposal from the Russian side outlining their concept for a future unconditional ceasefire.
He also added that work is currently underway to organize a meeting between the President of Ukraine and Putin.
"We allow for the possibility that this meeting could take place in an expanded format. We would very much like President (Donald – ed.) Trump to join it, and we have always consistently advocated and insisted that Europe must be at the table of any possible future negotiations," he concluded.
Recently, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine, Mykhailo Samus, Director of the New Geopolitics Research Network, stated that negotiations between the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, and the United States could turn into a real psychological battle.
More details can be found in the RBC-Ukraine article.
At the same time, earlier today, Ukraine's Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov stated that Ukraine remains committed to the idea of a ceasefire and hopes for continued US support in achieving lasting peace.
In addition, it was reported that in recent days, President Zelenskyy expressed his readiness for further direct negotiations with Russia.
