Ukraine's victory should become strategic priority - Lithuanian Foreign Minister
The course of the war and the unity of the international community in supporting Ukraine are key factors in ensuring security both in Europe and in the Indo-Pacific region, according to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.
He emphasized the importance of US leadership in providing military and political support to Ukraine, which continues to fight against Russian aggression.
"US leadership remains crucial in ensuring military and political support for Ukraine, which is fighting against the aggressor. We must not doubt that the battle near Pokrovsk today is not only for Ukraine but also for the freedom of the entire democratic world. Ukraine’s victory must become a strategic priority for all of us," he said.
Lithuania’s support for Ukraine
Lithuania recently announced a significant military aid package for Ukraine, including short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and anti-drone equipment.
During a visit to Kyiv in August, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said that Vilnius plans to deliver more than 5,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of the fall.
In June, Lithuania provided Ukraine with 14 M113 armored personnel carriers as part of a demining coalition.
Additionally, in April, Lithuania supplied M577 armored personnel carriers, air defense systems, ammunition, and other military equipment.
