Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an an interview with ARD Mediathek, stated that Ukraine cannot achieve victory without the support of the United States. He also warned of a possible Russian attack.

President Zelenskyy emphasized that while Ukraine cannot win without US support, Russia will not succeed in occupying the country. He stressed that military and financial assistance from the United States is critically important for Ukraine to continue resisting the aggressor.

He also warned that any discussions about deploying American troops could lead to a cessation of US support.

Speaking about US-Russia relations, Zelenskyy noted that Donald Trump has close ties with Vladimir Putin. However, he believes a full-fledged friendship between the two leaders is impossible.

Zelenskyy warned that Russia is considering attacking NATO countries, particularly Lithuania or Poland, which poses a serious threat to the security of the entire region.

The Ukrainian leader also stated that he has never regretted his decision to run for president and that he would have remained in Ukraine even if he were not in office.

Zelenskyy previously named four countries opposing Ukraine’s NATO membership. While most European leaders support Ukraine’s accession, objections have been raised by Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, and the United States.

At the same time, he noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has expressed support for Ukraine’s future NATO membership.
