Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced key talks between Ukraine and EU leaders' advisers in Brussels aimed at strengthening national security.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Rustem Umerov reported to him on the preparation of today's meetings in Brussels with advisors on national security issues to European leaders.

According to Zelenskyy, this is part of ongoing coordination with partners, which ensures the full activity of the negotiation process.

Along with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov will also be present at the meetings.

"Rustem Umerov reported on preparations for today’s meetings in Brussels with the national security advisors to European leaders. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will be joined at these meetings by Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov. This is our ongoing coordination with partners, and we ensure that the negotiation process is fully active," Zelenskyy writes on social media.

Ukrainian representatives will inform their European colleagues about the results of yesterday's contacts between the American side and Moscow and will discuss the European component in the necessary security architecture.

After Brussels, Rustem Umerov and Andrii Hnativ will prepare for a meeting with representatives of US President Donald Trump. As Zelenskyy notes, Ukraine will work constructively to achieve real peace.

The President is awaiting a new report on the results of today's meetings in Europe.

Meeting scheduled for December 3 in Brussels

On December 3, a NATO meeting will be held in Brussels, at which the Foreign Ministers of the member countries will gather at the Alliance's headquarters.

The event will also include a meeting of the NATO–Ukraine Council, which will be attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

It is expected that during the meetings, the parties will discuss strengthening support for Ukraine, in particular through the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative, which includes the supply of weapons and measures to enhance the country's defense capabilities.

The Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List is a US and NATO program that allows Ukraine to receive American weapons through funding from Alliance partner countries.

Incidentally, the administration of US President Donald Trump has approved the first two packages of military aid to Ukraine under the PURL program. The European Union has also adopted new initiatives to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Ukraine recently asked its European allies to provide an additional €1 billion by the end of the year.
