Ukraine's MoD reveals new version of Neptune missile: Footage

During a visit to Kyiv by the Lithuanian delegation led by Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė, they were shown a modernized version of the Neptune missile, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram and Militarnyi.
According to Shmyhal, the Neptune missile and other Ukrainian-made weapons were also shown to NATO representatives and other distinguished foreign guests.
Militarnyi noted that this was a completely new version of the Neptune. In particular, it differs from previous versions by the addition of side protrusions. Their purpose is unknown, but it is speculated that they could be used to install additional fuel tanks.

As early as August, Ukraine showcased the Long Neptune, which differs significantly from the standard version. In particular, its warhead weighs 260 kg — 110 kg more than the regular Neptune.
At the same time, the missile’s dimensions were increased: it is 6 meters long with a body diameter of 50 cm. Ukrainian specialists also upgraded the guidance system — during the cruise phase, navigation is carried out using an improved satellite positioning system, which enhances accuracy.
Effectiveness of the Neptune
Earlier, Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk stated that last year, Ukrainian Neptune missiles successfully struck Russian targets more than 50 times.
According to him, the details of such operations are generally not disclosed.
