Defense Forces of Ukraine on Friday, January 23, struck an oil depot in Russia’s Penza region, as well as radar systems and other key facilities belonging to the Russians, including those located in the temporarily occupied territories, according to a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As part of a deliberate and systematic effort to reduce the enemy’s offensive capabilities and military-economic potential, an oil depot operated by Penzanefteprodukt in Russia’s Penza region was struck," the statement says.

A fire was recorded at the facility. The extent of the damage is being clarified. The oil depot is involved in supplying Russia’s occupation army.

In addition, the strike on a Podlyot radar station in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, near the settlement of Frunze, has been confirmed.

Moreover, concentrations of enemy manpower were hit in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, as well as in Russia’s Belgorod region. Enemy losses are being clarified.

Ukraine’s strikes on Russian facilities

Yesterday, January 22, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a number of key enemy facilities. Among the targets hit were an oil terminal, a drone storage facility, and air defense systems.

Earlier, the General Staff also confirmed that on the night of January 19, Ukrainian forces struck a warehouse storing unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to a unit of the 144th Motor Rifle Division.

On January 17, the Defense Forces hit Russian air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, as well as an enemy drone storage facility in the Donetsk region.

In addition, on January 13, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a missile strike on the Atlant Aero enterprise in Taganrog, Rostov region of Russia, using Ukrainian-made missiles.

The enterprise provides a full production cycle, from design to manufacturing and testing of Molniya-type strike and reconnaissance drones. It also produces components for Orion drones used by Russian occupation forces.

On January 11, the Defense Forces carried out precision strikes on facilities involved in supplying the Russian army with energy resources, logistics, and air defense systems.

In particular, three Lukoil drilling platforms in the Caspian Sea were hit, as well as a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system launcher in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, and a logistics warehouse of Russia’s 49th Army in the Kherson region.
