A Ukrainian drone strike destroyed production facilities of the Atlant Aero plant in Russia's Taganrog on January 13. The plant manufactures Molniya drones, among other things, according to the Ukrainian Navy.

The destruction of several production workshops at the Atlant Aero plant has now been confirmed.

This is the result of an operation carried out by the Navy with the support of the Alpha Special Forces Unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The enterprise manufactured Molniya strike and reconnaissance drones and components for Orion drones for the Russian military.

Strike on Russia's Taganrog drone plant

On the night of January 13, the city of Taganrog in the Rostov region of Russia was attacked by drones. Explosions were heard in the city, after which reports appeared on social media about a strike on the Atlant Aero enterprise.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that Ukraine had launched missiles at a drone manufacturing plant in Taganrog. Explosions and a fire were reported in the area of the production buildings.

Atlant Aero carries out the full cycle of design, manufacture, and testing of Molniya strike and reconnaissance drones, as well as components for Orion drones.

The Security Service of Ukraine specified that the drone factory in Taganrog was hit by the SBU's Alpha Special Operations Center together with units of the Ukrainian Navy.

The agency emphasized that the shutdown of such enterprises directly affects the reduction of the Russian strike capabilities.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck many Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
