Ukraine's allies falling behind in delivering promised air defense systems - Bloomberg
Some of Ukraine's NATO allies are delaying the delivery of promised air defense systems and military equipment, Bloomberg reports.
According to Bloomberg sources, several NATO members have still not fulfilled the commitments made at the Alliance summit in Washington. Specifically, this is about the delivery of at least five additional long-range air defense systems.
The news agency's sources believe that the promised weapons supplies may not materialize until autumn, a period when Ukraine anticipates a resurgence of Russian strikes on critical infrastructure.
Bloomberg reports that some of Ukraine's allies are not providing military equipment to Ukrainian reserve forces in a timely manner, which negatively impacts the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
NATO Assistance to Ukraine
Following the NATO summit in Washington in July this year, a new mission was established to coordinate efforts among countries for the delivery of military aid to Ukraine.
This includes air defense systems, artillery, F-16s, and training for Ukrainian military personnel.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the Alliance will create a permanent structure to organize the supply of weapons to Ukraine and their financing.
Additionally, it was previously reported that the European Commission revealed the details of the Ukraine Compact agreement signed at the NATO summit.
