Ukraine-NATO Council to gather over dinner in Sweden: What is known about meeting

The Ukraine-NATO Council will convene for an informal dinner next week. The event will take place as part of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Sweden, according to the meeting agenda published by NATO headquarters.
Where and when
A meeting of NATO foreign ministers will take place on May 21-22 in the Swedish city of Helsingborg.
On the first day, May 21, a reception for the ministers will be held at 5:15 p.m. local time. It will be followed by an informal dinner for members of the Ukraine-NATO Council.
The dinner will be hosted by Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard.
The event will also be attended by:
- Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden;
- Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
As RBC-Ukraine previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects a pause in negotiations to end and US diplomacy to intensify in order to save Ukrainian lives.
On May 15, the Council of Europe approved the launch of a special tribunal on the crime of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Thirty-six countries and the European Union have already expressed their intention to join the agreement on its establishment.
