'Ukraine, like no other country in the world, wants to end war this year' - Foreign Minister

Ukraine wants to end the full-scale war this year. At the moment, everything depends on the position of the Russian side, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga says in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
As Sybiha explained, Ukraine is proceeding from a realistic scenario where the ultimate goal is to achieve a just peace. The latter is supported by the United States and European partners.
At the same time, the issue of achieving peace requires greater involvement of the Global South, and in this regard, we can expect President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to be diplomatically active in the near future.
“Personally, I will be in India this week for a security forum, where I will have a lot of meetings with the countries of the Global South, including our Indian partners,” he added.
According to the Minister, everything depends on Russia's position. This is also a test for Russia, as it was Russia that accused Kyiv of not wanting to achieve a just peace.
“Therefore, most of the components indicate a movement in the right direction. And it seems to me that a very good diplomatic pace has been gained, which allows us to quickly overcome obstacles and achieve concrete results. Because Ukraine, like no other country in the world, wants to end this war this year,” Sybiha said.
30-day truce is possible
During the recent talks in Saudi Arabia, Ukraine accepted Washington's proposal to introduce a 30-day ceasefire on the front line. The United States then spoke with the Russian side, but when commenting on the ceasefire, dictator Vladimir Putin began to talk about “nuances.”
According to Sybiha, Russia should provide the US with an official response to the 30-day ceasefire.
