When selling weapons to foreign nations, the United States will prioritize orders related to supplying arms to Ukraine via European partners, says US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker on Fox News.

The US will focus on delivering weapons to Ukraine even while fulfilling other international arms sales. According to Whitaker, Washington will prioritize European purchases intended to support the Ukrainian military.

"We make the best weapons in the world, and everyone wants them. And we will prioritize those going to Ukraine," he said.

Whitaker also commented on a deal announced Monday by President Donald Trump, under which Europe and Canada will pay for the American weapons they receive.

US weapons for Ukraine

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to purchase weapons from the US, including Patriot air defense systems and missiles.

Although the process had been delayed, recent developments indicate movement.

Just recently, Trump announced that the US would send Patriot systems to Ukraine, but the EU would foot the bill.

Meanwhile, Germany has stated that it sees "very positive signs" from the US regarding air defense system sales to Ukraine.
