On Thursday, June 25, the Flightradar24 service recorded a Belarusian airline aircraft that allegedly flew into the Chernihiv region. However, in reality, this information turned out to be fake, states the advisor to the Ukrainian Defense Minister, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.

He noted that information appeared in the media that, according to the Flightradar24 service, an Il-62 cargo aircraft of Belarusian airlines flew into the Chernihiv region, and after some time crossed the Ukrainian-Moldovan checkpoint. However, as it turned out, this information is false.

"This information does not correspond to reality. No Belarusian airline aircraft crossed the Ukrainian border. The center received relevant information from the military," Flash wrote.

He suggested that the route displayed on the Flightradar24 service was likely a system error.

At the same time, Flash clearly emphasized that no aircraft entered Ukrainian airspace.

Other incidents

On September 29, 2024, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated on its Telegram channel that a Belarusian Yak-130 training aircraft had likely entered Ukrainian airspace, triggering air raid alerts in Kyiv and the northern regions. It was believed that this could have been a provocation carried out by Russia with Belarus's help.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as of this week, the relay stations that Russia had been using to launch Shahed drone strikes against Ukraine have ceased operations in Belarus.

At the same time, Zelenskyy reported that in Belarus, under Russian influence, infrastructure is being built near the border with Ukraine.
