Ukrainians should prepare for the fact that the coming years will not be peaceful. It is not about constant fighting, but about a continuous threat that will require readiness at any moment, according to a statement by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"An absolutely peaceful, threat-free life in the coming years is unlikely," Budanov said.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence explained that he did not mean constant fighting but rather the ongoing threat that will exist near Ukraine.

"I do not mean that we will be fighting constantly. No, that is not the point. But the fact that we must be ready to respond, including with armed resistance, at any moment — that will remain," Ukraine's intelligence chief concluded.

Budanov's forecasts

Yesterday, the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, emphasized that Russia would have long lost the war in Ukraine if the Kremlin had not been supported by its allies.

Earlier in the spring, he stated that Russia could carry out another mobilization and warned that it would pose a serious threat.
